Preseli Bluestone — The Stone of Stonehenge

Preseli Bluestone comes from the Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire, Wales, United Kingdom.

This remarkable stone is known by many as the “Stonehenge stone”, as it is the same type of bluestone used in the inner circle of the famous Stonehenge monument. Archaeological research has shown that these stones were transported approximately 200 miles from the Preseli Hills to the Stonehenge site during the Neolithic period.

For many people, Preseli Bluestone carries a deep connection with ancient history, ancestral traditions and the natural landscape from which it originates.
